Here are some tips on how to tell Brass from other Metals:
Firstly, Brass is non-magnetic so checking with a magnet is recommended.
Secondly, Brass is a very heavy Metal so even small amount of Brass would be quite
heavy to lift, Lastly remove any paint or discolour from your metal using an engineers
file, if the Metal has a golden colour afterwards then it is Brass.
To make the most money possible from your Scrap plumbing waste we recommend
to remove all the Brass from the Copper tubes and sell both metals separately.
